Ingredients
  • 1 whole Chicken

  • 2 cups Water

  • Salt & Pepper: To Taste

  • 1 24 oz. Maull’s Barbecue Sauce

 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut up an entire chicken, and place in a covered roasting pan with water, salt & pepper. Bake for 30 minutes. Then, reduce heat to 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until chicken is tender. Drain off remaining broth and dip or brush Maull’s Barbecue Sauce onto the meat. Remove the lid and return the chicken to the oven until sauce is caramelized.

Pat’s BBQ Chicken in a Bag

Ingredients
  • 1 Brown Bag (found in freezer section) to keep Ice Cream firm from Store.

  • 1 whole Chicken (cut into serving pieces)

  • 2 cups Maull’s Barbecue Sauce

  • 1 tsp. Mustard

  • 1 tsp. Paprika

  • 4 tbsp. Water

  • 2 tbsp. Butter

  • 1 tsp. Chili Powder

  • 1 tsp. Salt

  • ½ tsp. Pepper

 

Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Mix Maull’s Barbecue Sauce, mustard, paprika, water, butter, chili powder and salt & pepper in large bowl. Place chicken in brown bag and pour the seasoning mixture into the bag with the chicken. Close bag with paper clips and shake well to coat chicken. Place bag on baking pan and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

“Chili-Con-Pollo”

1 Pot of Chicken Chili

Ingredients
  • 1 24oz. Maull’s Barbecue Sauce

  • 1 whole Chicken

  • 1 lb. Ground Beef

  • 1 large Onion

  • 1 Bell Pepper

  • 2 cups Green Chili

  • 1 can Whole Tomatoes

  • Garlic Powder: To Taste

  • Salt & Black Pepper: To Taste

  • Chili Powder: To Taste

 

Boil chicken about 1 hour or until partially cooked, then debone it. Drain and save broth. Meanwhile, brown ground beef and drain it. Sauté onion, bell pepper, chilies, tomatoes, garlic powder, and salt & pepper. Combine the chicken, ground beef, and the sauté in a crock-pot. Add Maull’s Barbecue Sauce, chili powder, and the chicken broth.  Cook on high for 2 to 3 hours or until the chicken is done. 

Other Options: If you want it thicker add a can of tomato paste. If you want more zing, add a couple jalapeno peppers, diced or canned.

Aunt Rose’s Fried B.B.Q. Chicken

Ingredients
  • 24oz. Maull’s Barbecue Sauce (Sweet & Smokey)

  • 6 Chicken Breasts (or 1 cut up 3-4 lb. Fryer)
  • 1 large Red or Green Bell Pepper (chopped)

  • 1 large Onion (chopped)

  • 2 tbsp. Water

  • Flour

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Oil (as little as skillet will hold)

 

Pour a very thin layer of oil in the skillet on medium heat. Place onion, pepper, and water in covered dish and microwave for 10 minutes. Put chicken, flour, and salt & pepper in bag and shake well. Add seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook for 10 minutes on each side or until brown. Once vegetables are done, add Maull’s Barbecue Sauce and stir. Pour this mixture onto the chicken in the skillet (do not drain oil).  Simmer the mix for 1 hour and serve.

“Maulled” Chicken

8 Shredded Chicken Breasts

 Ingredients
  • 8 Chicken Breasts (skinless and boneless)

  • 2 Green Peppers

  • ½ 24oz. Maull’s Barbecue Sauce bottle

  • Ground Black Pepper

 

Wash chicken and green pepper. Grind a small amount of black pepper over the chicken and place chicken in a slow cooker. Then, cut the pepper into big chunks and add to the slow cooker with the chicken.  Pour Maull’s Barbecue Sauce over the mix. Cook on high for 5 to 6 hours.  Shred with forks when tender and.  Serve on sourdough bread, buns or with potatoes.

Cheryl’s B. B. Q. Chicken

4 Medium or 2 Large Chicken Breasts

 Ingredients
  • 2 cups Maull’s Barbecue Sauce (Onion Bits)

  • 4 med. Skinless and Boneless Chicken Breasts (or 2 large, cut in half)

  • 1 reg. Box of Stuffing Mix

  • ½ cup Italian Bread Crumbs

 

Prick thawed chicken with fork several times and let it brine in the Maull’s Barbecue Sauce for at least 1 hour. Meanwhile, cook stuffing according to package directions and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9×13 baking pan with cooking spray and place cooked stuffing evenly in bottom of pan. Once ready, place marinated raw chicken on top of stuffing. Drizzle remaining Maull’s Barbecue Sauce on topand spread crumbs over everything. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.

Cajun Deep Fried BBQ Turkey

 Ingredients
  • 1 20lb. Turkey

  • 1 1/2 cups Maull’s Barbecue Sauce

  • 2oz. Onion (liquid)

  • 1oz. Garlic  (liquid)

  • 2 tbsp. Cajun Powder

  • 10oz. Water

Mix all non-turkey ingredients together. Then, using a baster syringe, inject approximately 70% of the mixture into the turkey. Triple wrap the turkey in plastic bags and chill overnight. When ready to cook, place in in 350 degree vegetable oil. Cook for 3 1/2 minutes per pound. When done, drain oil from all cavities and let cool for 10 minutes. Then carve and eat.

“Maulled” Turkey

  • 1 Turkey Breast

  • 1 Maull’s Barbecue Sauce

  • Salt & Pepper

  • Cooking Oil

  • Garlic Powder

  • Cayenne Pepper

 

Preheat your grill. Fillet the meat off each side of a whole turkey breast with a sharp knife. Rub down with canola or olive oil to prevent burning and sprinkle with salt & pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Cover and place on the grill, checking every 15 minutes and turning when needed.  When golden brown all over, apply Maull’s Barbecue Sauce generously. Repeat the Maull’s a couple of times to taste.

Honey B.B.Q. Wings

  • 1 btl. Honey (8oz. Or 10oz.)

  • 1 24oz. Maull’s Barbecue Sauce bottle

  • 3 lbs. Chicken Wings

  • 1 tsp. Tabasco (optional)

 

Clean wings and remove tips. Place in a large baking dish. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees. Pour Maull’s Barbecue Sauce over wings. Cover with honey. (Add Tabasco if you like a little spice). Bake for 1 1/2-2 hours or until very tender. Serve with lots of sauce and napkins.

 Ingredients
  • 48 Meaty Chicken Wings

  • 1 12oz. Jar of Chili Sauce

  • 2 tblsp. Worcestershire Sauce

  • ½ cup Cider Vinegar

  • ½ cup Vegetable Oil

  • ½ cup Brown Sugar

  • ½ cup Onion (grated)

  • 2 tsp. Garlic, chopped (optional)

  • 2 tsp. Salt

  • tsp. Pepper

  • 1 24oz. Maull’s Barbecue Sauce bottle (Sweet-n-Mild)

 

Directions yield 96 pieces. Discard bony tips of chicken wings and cut at joints into 2 pieces. Place wings in a large roasting pan (single layer). Mix all other ingredients together to make a sauce. Spread half of sauce over the wings. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Turn wings over and spread remaining sauce. Bake an additional 30 minutes until well browned and tender. Place under broiler for additional browning if desired. May be made ahead of time and frozen or refrigerated.
