About Maull’s Sauce
Our recipe dates back to the early 1920’s and remains today with the same character of the original sauce. Our sauce can be applied to any meat while on the grill over a very slow fire. A slow fire is one where you can hold your hand over the grill for 5 seconds. We use 100% tomato paste and our formula includes less sugar than most sauces on the market today. For the chef at home, or in your restaurant, add your own special flair when used as a base sauce. Maull’s sauces can be blended with other ingredients, which makes them very unique. Finally, our gluten free sauce is formulated to bring out the flavor of your barbecued chicken, pork or steak which is why we say “Don’t baste your barbecue, Maull it!”
The sauce that began it all back in 1921 is not only a Maull’s original but the St. Louis Style original.
